About us Christian sometimes a false picture is living in the people. Many people think, that we are perfect and we never put out anything inorder, there is no crime in our life. But we have the same fights in our life.as all the others have. This is a false expectation. In the army
of God the real heroes are weak, grew tired from the world people, who on the other side got new life from Jesus Christ. The world couldnot use us,but for God the most weak and the most miserable people are also precious ones. Only the persons with broken heart can beuseful for him. Yes it often means struggle, misery, trials! As a Christian I experienced what the real suffer and misery is and was,as mychildren also did,but we were never alone, left lonely.
The thought was followed by action.
Both the congregation and the Hungarian Children Aids Foundation had a special point and love-affair of the children. We got a lot ofmoney for the school. As a result of which in the 3rd year in the side-building of the congregation we could furnish 4 wonderful rooms forthe children. They were really very happy that they could attend a real school. It was wonderfully equipped and it was a quality school. They got the best school-desks and school supplies. There was a wonderful classroom,a huge sitting-room,where we could receive theguests. There was a special room to play and a kitchen, where we could cook our meals and where we could have lunch. They had learntfrom 9 a .m. until 1 o’clock. After lunch they went to sleep afterwards they went in for some sports and had some games for an hour, thenthey prepared their home-works. At 4.3o p.m. we went home, After supper everyday they either rode the bicycle or had a 1-2 hours walk.It was very good for all 3 of us.
From their age of the 4th class they could go to school alone.
Almost each week-end did I take them somewhere for an excursion. They loved the preserve of Buda, the hills of Buda,Visegrád,Esztergom,Sopron. I made an effort in order thatthey should be as much time as possible on fresh air
They went to school every day at 9 o’clock a.m.as it was important for them to have breakfast and to take their medicines quietly. I triedto bring them to school at 8,but at that time Bátorka had often vomited his breakfast therefore the medicine got vasted as 2 times. he couldnot take it. We had to learn to accomodate to their claims/to them/ For years they had their own teachers and therefore it was not difficultfor us to carry out it. After some years another boy had also come there, who has also been cared by an excellent foster-parent
Therefore they were 3 to learn together. We had to be sorely tried. Between the 3 boys sorry to say but there was not a true friendship andunity. Both the small boy and his mother had suffered from Aids. Sorry to say but the mother had died after 2 years. This sweet boy wasan unsociable child. . It is no wonder,as by his age of 6 he had experinced almost everything bad that could happen to him at this earth. Igot to know later that at his age of 4 he has been forced and he had also served the clients of his mother. Thanks God,that his foster-mother was not that type, who gave up things easily. She and her family did everything for her child, anything she could do as far aspossible. All of us saw the possibility in her..Sorry to say that until now they/the children/ could not get friends with each other. Manypeople had prayed for them to like each other as brothers but inspite of the very fact they did a lot of troubles in the 6 class. After thedeath of Andráska, they remained 2. This lovely and sweet unsociable boy had reached manhood and he became a fantastic and intelligentyoung man. As often I had met him,I obliged God. It was really worth having invested money and time in his life,as he was an excellentyoung man. Before his death for some months Andráska had lived in the family of the other boy. They became fond of each other and theybecame good friends. With his lost, both boys had lost their brother. It was not easy to teach them/ their lives had never been easy either/but for sure we did everyting possible for them. From the class of 6 they attended school together with all the other children.. They had avery nice school and they had learnt the same school material as all the others had. I have seen on TV that other cjildren suffering fromAids do not attend school at all. We had often offered them our help.but they somehow did not find the way to us. I was really verysorry,as we would have welcomed them. I had never paid for their teaching,it was covered both by the congregation and by theHungarian Children Aids Foundation. Several times and many people had struggled for that these children could also learn.
I am convinced, that their employment had greatly contributed to the very fact that they are living but not an everyday but a special and quality life. But naturally for their lives theyhave to be thankful for the continuous care, love and the faith of God. They are very worthy children who had learnt for 1o years as all the others, only very few people know about itand in my opinion in addition to those who did all their best for them, nobody else is interested in their fates. During the last years I could see how children suffering from cancer andfrom other illnesses were taught in hospitals. I do trust and do believe that it is a wise thing to give a chance to each child suffering from any illnesses and fighting against them. Wecan longer their lives and we ourselfes can change and our own life having been effected by their lives.
